After transferring from Karakol to the Jety-Oguz Gorge, a journey lasting approximately one hour, we'll acquaint ourselves with the staff. After packing our backpacks, we'll embark on our trek. Crossing the Djety-Oguz river, we'll ascend to the mouth of the West Teleti river. Our campsite will be situated at 3000m under Teleti pass, where we'll spend the night in tents or yurts. The trekking distance covers 13-14km and takes approximately 5-6 hours.

We'll commence our ascent to the Teleti pass, reaching an altitude of 3670m, a journey expected to last around 2-3 hours. Following the crossing of the Teleti pass, we'll pause for lunch. Then, we'll descend into the Karakol gorge, where we'll set up camp near the Karakol river. Overnight accommodation will be provided in either tents or yurts. The trekking distance spans 13-14km and typically takes 6-7 hours to complete.

Following breakfast, we'll proceed further down the gorge before veering towards the left side gorge, known as Kurgak-Tor or the Dry Gorge. The ascent through this gorge is steeper, requiring approximately 2 additional hours. Lunch will be enjoyed at an altitude of 3000m. Here, there's a hut called the Orphan Asylum, serving as a kitchen-dining area during inclement weather. Additionally, it provides an opportunity for sharing or replenishing food supplies. After lunch, we'll continue for approximately 2-3 hours until we reach the stunning Ala-Kol lake at an altitude of 3532m. Overnight accommodation will be in tents. The total trekking distance for this leg is approximately 8-9km, taking around 4-5 hours to complete.

After breakfast, our day kicks off with an initial ascent to a lower altitude followed by a moderate climb. As we progress further, we'll reach a pass standing at 3860m. In clear weather, the pass offers panoramic views of nearby peaks in the Terskey Ala-Too range, all towering above 5000m. The descent from the pass is steep but relatively short. Following lunch, we'll descend into the gorge, heading towards the rejuvenating hot springs of Altyn-Arashan situated at 2500m. The descent typically takes 2-3 hours, covering approximately 10 km. Upon arrival, we'll set up tents and indulge in a relaxing bath in the hot springs. Overnight accommodation will be provided in tents or in dormitory-style lodging. The total trekking distance for the day is around 12 km, with an estimated duration of 4-5 hours.

Following breakfast, we'll make a stop to visit natural hot springs along the way before continuing our trek down to Karakol. The route follows the river Arashan all the way, culminating at the endpoint in Ak-Suu village. The trekking distance for this segment is approximately 14 km, with an estimated duration of 3.5 to 4 hours.

Yes! The only thing to keep in mind is that weather, traffic, or other circumstances might cause some adjustments. We may swap the order of the days or change the sequence of locations as we go. But don’t worry — we’ll still visit everything on the itinerary (and maybe even add a little extra!), just in a different order.
